=======
1) We discussed the Summer 2014 and Fall 2014 schedules that Brian Jukes sent us this morning.
Summer session was originally scheduled to begin on June 9, which is before some of the local high schools will dismissed. This may result in lower enrollment. Consequently, there is a possibility that the start of summer session will be delayed until June 16. Unfortunately, this would mean that there would be only one week in between the end of Summer session and Fall convocation. (The Fall semester starts on August 11, with convocation on August 6.)
2) Boyes informed us that we need to complete a full cycle of PSLOs by June. She will try to compile data from last Fall and apply them to the PSLOs to evaluate the PSLOs. We may pick just a couple of the PSLOs to evaluate instead of evaluating all of them.
3) We discussed CSLOs for Math 50. We began by looking at WCC's CSLOs. Steverson said that he likes WCC's CSLOs, and also said that it may be good to have common CSLOs for the online students.
These are the CSLOs we came up with for Math 50.
1. Solve linear equations.
2. Solve systems of linear equations and inequalities.
3. Perform arithmetic operations on polynomial expressions.
4. Apply the properties of integer exponents.
5. Factor a polynomial expression.
6. Graph and analyze linear equations.
7. Derive the equation of a line.
8. Translate an application problem into a linear equation or system of equations.
4) Everyone present picked at least one singleton to revise CSLOs. It was not decided by when we should all be done.
