Chris and Hogan's Mousetrap Page Name of our vehicle: The Mousehead

Team Members: Chris Cupples and Jesse Hogan

Maximum number of mice carried: 7

What we could have done differently to carry more mice:
We could have had a larger platform to carry the mice. With our lever arms swinging down, the loading area was greatly reduced. Another thing we could have done would be to modify the axle to give it more torque in order to maximize the power developed by the two mousetraps. We also could have developed a better torque system to give the vehicle more power for the entire ten feet because we noticed that adding more traps would make it fall short of the mark due to a lack of consistent power.

Price sheet:
Front wheel: $1.27
Spacers: $1.27
Mousetraps: 2/$.69

Modifications for Contest:
One modification would be to raise the number of mice one would have to carry across the ten-foot mark. Even though we only carried 7 mice, this was mostly due to lack of space on top of our vehicle; a design flaw on our part. We noticed the majority of the class carrying many more mice, so it would seem more challenging to raise the limit. Other than this, the contest was designed very well.
